It is the reason people feel safe with you. It is the reason your images hold something real. Sensitivity is not a weakness. It is a superpower.
You Shouldn’t Take This Job Too Seriously
Photography is important but it is not everything. When you take this job too seriously you lose the lightness that makes creative work enjoyable. You become rigid afraid of failure afraid of judgment afraid of being seen. You begin to believe that your worth depends on the outcome of your work.
Success Is Personal
Success is one of the most misunderstood words in our industry. People talk about it as if it were universal. More bookings. Higher prices. Recognition. Followers. Prestige. But none of that means anything if it does not match the life you actually want.
Slowness
In a world that rewards speed urgency and constant output slowness feels radical. Growth takes time. Creative maturity takes time. Confidence takes time. Nothing meaningful in art or business happens overnight. Photography is a craft built on observation on feeling on patience. You cannot rush that.

What we see on social media is not the truth. It is a narrow slice of the wedding world filtered through algorithms trends and performance. When you scroll you mostly see luxury weddings loud aesthetics designer details and spectacular images. It creates the illusion that this is what everyone wants and that this is the only path to success as a photographer.
What Authenticity Really Is
Everyone in the photography world talks about authenticity. It has become a trend word a marketing tool a pose. But real authenticity has nothing to do with being a version that is currently popular or a version that feels safe. It does not come from watching others and adjusting yourself to match the mood of the industry.
